Or more to the point; Girls who dress provocatively and live on comments such as "You're a babe and I want to f*** you" or basically survive by showing off what they have got. Nothing pisses me off more then a girl who feels the need to wear the shortest skirt she can find and a boob tube that makes her boob larger then her head. It's gross. These girls deserve to be shot in the head, they make all the other girls feel worthless and thus lead them to undermining themselves, which upsets me. Nothing is worse then when I'm talking to a beautiful girl and she's upset cause she doesn't feel she is sexy enough. It's sad that it has become a standard for girls to act this way, I find it revolting to find girls posting pictures of themselves in underwear on social sites like Myspace and Tagged, I find it revolting that girls think it's normal, and when you question it, they reply saying "With a body like this, why not show it off", um hello? maybe because that is bad and it shows you have no self respect or common social decency? Eh, I put it in spoilers and only a link to the picture, not sure if I'm allowed to post it or not. "Shai" - Click to Show/Hide Note, on this picture, I commented saying "I wonder what's on tv", I then had her tell me that I'm a 'fu**ing c**t' because I called her ugly, makes sense doesn't it? I swear at birth these people traded their brains for boobs. And to finish;

ahahahahahahahahahahahahaha No. That is a terrible stereotyping of women and an insult to their intelligence to think they would not be able to tell that is horrible behavior. -------------------- "Somewhere in the multiverse, a bad slashfic is written about this moment."

Where I am buddy, if a girl isn't partially like this, then they're made fun of until they become this way.

I see no problem with it. It's their choice, however bad the choice may be themselves, and sometimes they may DRESS that way, but they don't sleep around all the time or anything.
Besides, I'm a typical guy, so I dig it, personally. However, there ARE extremes, but I rarely see them here. -------------------- |

All right, first of all, if you seriously think that someone deserves to be shot in the head, then you've got a serious problem. No one deserves that at all, especially if they're just doing something such as dressing like a ho. At least let the person be guilty of an unforgivable transgression before you make such an asinine and vicious statement such as that. Secondly, if the girls who don't dress like that are feeling worthless, then I see that as more of a self-esteem issue on their part entirely. Personally, as far as attraction to women go, I'm a run-of-the-mill dude, too - dressing like that is hella attractive, but honestly, I myself can't see myself with a woman who's like that on the regular outside of a one night stand. No girl should feel like she should have to dress like a slut to garner attention. However, she shouldn't feel threatened by them, either - if she's truly smart, she should know what happens to girls who dress like that and what girls who dress like that are associated with. It's a no-brainer, really. In college, it's funny. I find myself talking to the girls who don't dress like hos far more often than I talk to the ones who do... |

As a girl, I stereotype the girls that dress like that as being stupid, which lowers my respect of them instantly.
But other than that, its up to them. If I don't respect them, then why should I care what they do with their lives? So I don't. =) Also, it doesn't lower my self esteam (sp?) to see people like that being complimented regularly. I'm comfortable the way I am, and with how I look. I mean, I regularly wish I had some cleavage, but even without it, I'm happy with my body. That isn't to say that I don't feel better about myself after receiving a compliment either. I love getting complimented, when someone calls me pretty I feel good about myself. But its not my sole purpose for living. I would rather get complimented on my brains than my body, and people talk about my smarts a lot. Honestly, I feel sorry for people who find that the only way to get a compliment is to spend the majority of their time looking better. IMO, if you can't look good doing something worthwhile, then don't look good. And that's the reason I don't wear make-up often, etc. I would rather be comfortable 24/7, and do something worth my time and productive then constantly put on a fake image to get a guy. It is a little upsetting that my life's philosophy leads to a small amount of sex, but eh, I got more things in life than sex. |

I don't care, and I don't think they should be shot. As long as I'm not the one doing stupid things, it's not my problem. People are people - don't be so quick to judge.

I'm not judging, I'm profiling. :<
I really dislike* people who are like this, because they tend to be the main popular girls, and are with the main popular guys, and are one of the reasons I hate myself and the world these days. /whine whine. Whatever, my point was overblown, meh. -------------------- 未遂の蕾咲かせよう

Can they really be so popular? In this day and age, NO one is popular unless they're famous. Otherwise, everyone's just your average person. Popularity doesn't come from being well-known or well-liked by a specific group, it comes from being well-known or well-liked by a massive amount of the world's population. Sure, they may SEEM popular, but they've just got their clique, you've got yours.

Society wants women to repress their sexuality, but then be hypocritical in the way they dress by basically revealing everything, which would imply that they're asking for it, so to speak.
It's the fault of society. Humans, by nature, are not "moral" beings, we're just like any animal, we exist to extend our own race, and stay ahead of natural selection. Morals are manmade. So it's the utter hypocrisy of society that gives us this conundrum. It's a social canon that women should be at least relatively modest in their manner of speech/activity, correct? And that men should be the ones with the less restricted libido, with nothing but sex on their minds, right? This is all stereotypical, mind you, I'm not saying any of you are like that. So why, then, is the way these girls dress, socially acceptable? It's their way of releasing their restrained libido. Society tells them time and time again not to act like they are a sexual being, when the simple fact is that they are. All humans are. They may not desire sex and only sex; most men aren't like that either, but everyone has intimate feelings towards another human being from time to time. What's different is just the way we choose to express those emotions and impulses. Men have a more direct release of their sexuality, just acting like dickheads in general and looking for the next hot girl, while women, knowing that society won't let them act in the same manner, "ask for it" in a way by trying to make themselves look more attractive in any way possible, so they can still be the intimate and sexual beings they are biologically supposed to be, while still conforming to society's standards. Just some observations of stereotypes, here. Then again, I'm no psychologist. I wouldn't mind being one, or at least taking a real class on the topic, at the very least. But the damn program I'm in might force me to take a philosophy class instead. That WOULD be interesting if it was structured better, I hear it's not the kind of philosophy I'd be interested in. Yay random rambling? Okay, post over. -------------------- |

I almost want to dissect the OP.
Simplest way of dealing with attention whores is by ignoring them. Don't b**** about it or confront them, because negative attention is still attention. |

first im gonna say that girl is hot as hell because im shallow, but I'd
never date a girl like that. mind bottling isn't it? second, im gonna say that the miniaturized teckst made me LOL. good one XD third, my opinion. i think that girls like that are alright. they're people too, and they should be treated as such. they're usually sociable irl, and alright to be around. i accept lots of types of people. how they dress is their choice and i talk to girls whether they dress that way or the opposite. excuse the bad grammar. --------------------

I haven't read everyones post so forgive me if any of my points are redundant.
First of all, people can do what they want. They aren't killing anyone by allowing their cleavage to show or their panties to stick out, if anything, they are making alot of men very happy. Second, I rarely, atleast in my school, see a hot girl wearing a skimpy outfit. They generally don't need to. To me and most guys I know, it doesn't matter if a super hot girl is wearing a turtle neck sweater, she is still hot. More often I see the girls with less beautiful bodies wearing this type of clothing in what I would guess s an attempt to hide their own insecurities about the way they look. Third, I don't often see girls being made fun of for not wearing such things. If anything it may be true that they aren't geting as much attention as the girls that are hot or wearing skimpy outfits, but that doesn't mean they are being treated badly. No one should be mocked because they are taking advantage of what they were born with either. Thats like telling an athelete who is incredibly better than everyone else they can't play because they are making it unfair for everyone else. It is true that the media portays women underdressed and unbelievably hot, but thats because they are trying to make money and guy LIKE undressed and unbelievably hot. Post is kind of late but so many girls in my school complain about how other girls look so i had to get my two cents in. -------------------- |
