So, it came out yesterday, just wondering who went to see the movie? Me and my sister have our little thing where we go see each movie together, and I just got in from it and I must say, I was impressed. Quite funny, definitely well done. The special effects were stunning, the comedy was... well, comedic, loved it. And the serious parts... well, when the climax hit, it was so well done that I almost cried.

Two reasons why that means anything: I don't cry over movies. Hell, I don't cry over anything usually, not since Tylor's death. On top of that, I read the book three times, so I saw it coming (just like the part where Harry and Dumbledore get the Horcrux and the corpse grabs Harry's hand. I knew it was coming, but it scared the crap out of me).

Also, the soundtrack? Loved it. Definitely moving, very fitting.

I'd give it an easy 8/10 right off the bat. And because sequels tend to get progressively worse, I'll give this a 9/10 for actually being a great sequel IMO.
Kratos Aurion
I saw the midnight opening. It was jam packed. It was an awesome movie though :]
Pink
Probably will see it in like 6 months or something. Harry Potter was so 6 year old me. tongue.gif

But we'll see how it is.
The Blind Archer
May see it soon. I'm waiting for the crowd to die down and such.

Odds are I'll have to skip seeing this one in theaters, but I'll likely rent it when it's out on DVD regardless of whether I see it on the big screen or not.
Soul Thief
Am I like the only person not really into this? I'm not gonna bash on it or anything, I have not seen any of them but hearing some friends from work talk good about it so I guess it's alright.

Honestly, it's a good series, I was sad when it came to an end, but some people go TOO far with their fandom. I understand like, "Oh, it's such a good book!" because it is. But... some of the things I hear from people... frig man. O_O

But no, I'd say check out the books first, and even if the first couple don't grab your interest much, the last three will grab you for sure, especially with how much the characters mature throughout.

EDIT: Oh yeah, just remembered, did anyone else get a nice grin out of the portion towards the end where you could SEE the fear on Malfoy's face? And how he broke down in front of Dumbledore? I felt good about that. I couldn't help to feel that sort of, "that's what you get" feeling.
Inigo Montoya
Us Germany-ians don't get to see it until like...two weeks from now. xP
Seraphinox
I didn't like it. Each scene kind of ended awkwardly and none of the scenes led into the one after it.

I still love Alan Rickman (Snape) though, He's always a great actor.

Bizox
I refuse to see this movie, I'm so sick of Harry Potter.
Ragnarok
Whether it's good or not, chances are I'll be either dragged to see it by a group of my friends who are huge Potter fans and want to see it again, or my parents will order it of the TV or something. Either way, I'll be seeing it eventually. I hear good things though.

I have liked the acting of dumdore. He has the best actor imo
Thirty7Dollars
Haven't seen it yet, but hopefully I will soon, I've heard lots of good things about it.

I stopped watching the movies ever since Goblet of Fire. I certainly hoped they made the 6th adaptation as faithful as the first two movies, since the later Potter books rely a lot on subtle foreshadowing and Cheskov Guns. :<

Eh?

Anyway, I saw the movie at the theatre in Penn Square. It was on a Sunday, so aside from a few other people, my family was the only one there. I really liked it. It wasn't quite as action-packed as the other movies, but of course anyone who's read the book would know that. It still got me pretty emotional toward the end, though.
The Dark Knight
I saw this movie last night. My summary in one word: bleh.
As a movie, I thought it was acceptable. Not good, but not bad either. The comedy was pretty good. I laughed at a couple parts.

DrunkFelix Harry was hilarious. Ron on Love Potion was good too.

Like Seraphinox, I thought the transitions of scenes was awkward. It seemed like the movie was rushed. The scenes seemed like they were filmed separately and just pasted together. It didn't really have any flow to it.
As a movie based on the book, though, I thought it was terrible. They ruined the only thing I wanted them to get right.

Harry and Ginny. Harry and Ginny was supposed to be how Ron and Lavender's was portrayed. And the way they did it just seemed like it was a one-time thing.

Everything else... eh. I can kinda live with it. It's expected when you compare the movie and the book. I just think they made too many plotholes for the 7th book films that I don't think they'll be able to fill even with two movies.

I think I just need to watch it again (on DVD of course), and try to just enjoy the movie instead of compare it to the book.
